This page offers an alternative source for the most current service releases of some of the major software packages I support. The purpose is to provide a less busy (and faster download time) source of these updates for my clients. On my cable connection these files download over 8 times faster than from the Timeslips site, for example.

Timeslips version 10.5, 10, and 9 files

The Timeslips website includes many more files for download than are available here. Their site should be checked regularly for anything that could be useful to you. This site only has some of the more universally required files available for download, and does not even try to provide all the files you might require.

Timeslips 10.5, Service Release 3

The last service release for version 10.5 of Timeslips was is SR3 which is available here. This update file is approximately 22.7 megabytes. It will update any previous release of Timeslips 10.5 to the most recent update (SR3). If Timeslips is networked, you must update Timeslips on the server and every workstation running Timeslips on the network to this service release.

Timeslips 10, Service Release 1

The most current service release (released 08/08/00) of Timeslips version 10 is SR1 which is available here. This update file is approximately 2.6 megabytes. It will update any versions of Timeslips 10 bought before (or very near) this date to the most recent update (SR1). If timeslips is networked, on version 10 (for the first time), you can update the Timeslips program on the server, and the workstations will update automatically. On previous versions, you had to manually update each workstation.

Timeslips 9, Service Release 11

The most current service release (released 1/18/00) of Timeslips version 9 is SR11 which is available here. I only provide the complete version, which is approximately 15.5 megabytes. It will update any version of Timeslips 9 to Service Release 11. If you already have Service Release 10 installed, you can download the approximately 3 megabyte incremental release from the Timeslips site and save a lot of time if you're working off a normal phone line.

Updated Documentation for Timeslips ver 9

When Timeslips came out with Service Release 7, they also came out with an enhanced documentation file. This approximately 2.3 megabyte installer program only works with Service Release 7 or later. The help files are generally enhanced, most especially the information on how to use the Report Designer. It also includes a newly redesigned guided tour for Timeslips upgraders, an improved sample database, and includes modifications to the navigator.

Bill Customization Manual

In versions 2 through 6, Timeslips always tried to provide fairly extensive and complete documentation in their manuals. Because so much remained similar in upgrading from version 6 to 7, and then from 7 to 8, the manuals included with the software changed from around 600 pages to something closer to 150 pages. Timeslips continued with this philosophy when they released version 9. However, because version 9 works so very differently from previous versions of Timeslips, this has proved to be problematic. On April 21, Timeslips released a 63 page Acrobat file covering bill customization in detail. The information applies to versions 9.1, 10, and 10.1 as well. It can be downloaded here.
